{"id":35,"date":"2022-10-14T14:08:27","date_gmt":"2022-10-14T14:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/livertransplantinstitute.com\/blog\/?p=35"},"modified":"2022-10-15T04:02:40","modified_gmt":"2022-10-15T04:02:40","slug":"liver-cirrhosis-not-a-death-sentence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livertransplantinstitute.com\/blog\/liver-cirrhosis-not-a-death-sentence\/","title":{"rendered":"Liver Cirrhosis- Not a death sentence!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ravinder Hooda, a middle-aged man from Gurgaon, was living a pleasant life until reality struck him.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>He got diagnosed with&nbsp;liver cirrhosis!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Anxiety, apprehending the outcome, took away his nights of sleep.<\/li><li>Living a diseased life reminds you of your failures in life and, worse.. makes you anticipate only negative premonitions.<\/li><li>Nothing different was happening to Mr. Hooda as well; life was at the lowest point for him now.<\/li><li>Tired and debilitated, he held on to the \u2018 only twig in water.\u2019 Visiting doctors after the doctor was all he did.<\/li><li>His days started with appointments and ended in tried failures.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After six months of the heavy burden and futile attempts, he met Dr. Giriraj Bora, joint chief- Liver Transplant and Sr. Consultant- GI and HPB surgery at Artemis Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No doctor could give him a full guarantee of successful operation or survival rate.<\/li><li>However, the doctors of Artemis Hospital laid the heroic act of managing a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/livertransplantinstitute.com\/donor.html\">cadaveric donor amid Corona<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Bora said, \u201c An organ retrieval was done from Kolkata where a doctor had bravely decided to donate his organ after death. At Artemis Hospital, we made efforts to go to the city and airlift the organ, which was brought to us through the green corridor.
