Hepatitis A & E Treatment In India
Hepatitis A and Hepatitis E are viral diseases which usually cause acute illness affecting the liver. The acute disease does not usually progress to Chronic liver disease. Hepatitis A and E viruses are commonly water borne and are common in developing countries like India, Pakistan , Bangladesh, Iraq, Uzbekistan. The patient usually develops jaundice and may have some pain in the right upper abdomen. The treatment is usually symptomatic and the condition is self limiting and patients usually recover from Hepatitis A & E without any residual disease. Very rarely these viruses cause Acute liver failure which require admission in ICU . Even more rarely they may require a liver transplant.
